Opening — The Most Personal Dimension of Human Life
Of all the domains in which THE HUMANITY SYSTEM proposes genuine change — none is more personal — more immediately felt — or more deeply connected to the daily quality of human life than the domain of human relationships and gender equality.
The systems that have governed human relationships for the past 12,000 years — the religious frameworks of marriage and gender roles — the political reinforcement of those frameworks through law — have shaped the most intimate dimensions of human experience. How human beings relate to one another. How they build families. How they understand their own identity and their own worth. How much genuine freedom do they have to live the lives that genuinely reflect who they are?
And the honest assessment of those systems — however uncomfortable — is that they have produced enormous human suffering alongside whatever genuine goods they have also provided.
This article engages with that honestly. And it describes what THE HUMANITY SYSTEM proposes instead.
